Chanterelle Wild Ale, 4.4% ABV

Forget everything you think you know about beer and believe the hype. All the hype, including the fact that this is a collaboration with our friends at Horus Aged Ales (@horusagedales) from California. We crammed 12kg of wild chanterelles, both fresh and dried, into this beer. Due to seasonality and the many steps taken to make this beer, there were also several different varieties added, all foraged by Calgary local supplier The Canadian FunGuy (@canadian.funguy). After patiently waiting over a year and a half, the result is pure mushroom magic: a surprisingly fruity sip of ripe apricot, citrus, pepper, and deep earth.
